For some reason I just can’t get away from plaid. I love plaid. I blame it on my many years as a Catholic school girl. I wore a plaid burgundy skirt that I always rolled up (don’t ask me why, we all did it even though it was an all girls school). While burning a hole through my pocket in my town’s pitiful excuse of a mall I stumbled upon this shawl. I actually spied it while going down the escalator 5 minutes before Sears closed. As soon as I put it on, I felt fancy! This baby was coming home with me.
Hello, hello, hello,
My apologies for the random half body shots. My camera was dying I had a super crazy morning. My car wouldn’t start, I attempted to fix the situation myself but it must have been 8 degrees outside and I was too cute & cold to walk or wait for a bus. So I eventually used my noggin and called AAA. The pics are a result of me trying to take pics as soon as I got home.
Hi all (waves ecstatically)!
My friend S invited me to the Ebony Gala and now that I’m free I accepted. I couldn’t figure out what dress to wear, so I put it up for a vote on FB. Here are the two contestants. Continue reading
Hope your turkey day was as delicious as mine if you celebrated. Although I’m not the biggest fan of most holidays, I do enjoy spending time with loved ones, and the rare chance to sleep in. Continue reading
Fall is unofficially here, but the chill is officially here to stay. Unlike most style bloggers, I do not look forward to Fall. Sure getting dressed is more fun, but I will never be happy that it’s cold out.
When I tried this outfit on last night, the title is the first thing that popped into my head. I look like a dominatrix librarian. Although I’ve never seen one, I think I might fit the bill, especially with the black obi belt. Continue reading
Hello hello. Remember last night? Well, I had a wedding to attend today. I was my friend Cass’s +1. Although Cass was extremely understanding of my inebriated state, and gave me an out; I really wanted to attend. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to a wedding, and I was excited to get dressed up, eat free food and admire the love and excitement at weddings.
So here’s another angle 🙂
In hindsight, I would change the hair (which I did eventually). It takes the attention away from the dress. It’s also too much for my face and frame.
My fave part of weddings is when they choose a symbol to represent their union, be it dove, candal, sand. I also really love the exchange of vows, however I sometimes feel like I’m intruding on an intimate and private moment.
After last night’s debauchery, my camera decided to tap out, aka die shortly after.
Have you been to any weddings lately, if so what is your favorite part?

Hiya! I’m back with the second part of Cass’ birthday celebration. We decided to check out a club event in Waltham. Of course we had to take the standard pics before we begin to sweat.
I can not vouch for our dance moves, but
we she looked like she knew what she was doing.
I’m focused man!
This weekend is exactly why the good Lord whispered in my ear that I should work on the weekends. I am not capable of having good decent fun. I CAN NOT handle it. The following morning was one for the books. I am not even sure how I managed to drive Kim or myself home. In fact, I have to question the love that my friends say they have for me, because they let me drive home. I guess the boring life isn’t so bad after all.

Hey folks! Hope all is well in your respective lives. I’m still getting used to my TWA (teeny weeny afro). I’ve had so many different hairstyles in my young life (hey no laughing!). However, I’m having some difficulty with this one. I’m not sure why, but I better snap out of it soon. Continue reading
Hope you all are well. I went to watch the last home game between the Celtics and the Miami Heat with my friend Kim. Before the fellas get too excited, I must warn y’all; I am a new basketball fan. What does that mean you ask? It means that I know next to nothing about the sport. I don’t know the top draft picks. I don’t know who any of the coaches are besides Doc Rivers (does anyone besides Doc Rivers matter anyways) and I only know players who have an interesting story or who have lucrative endorsements. Hey, I guess I’m not so bad after all that’s a pretty impressive list of things that I know I don’t know.
What sports are you into, or are you like me and you only get into it when it’s a big game?
